FOCUSED

The last time Molly saw Noah Griffin was the regrettable day that she decided to climb into his bedroom window and turn her unrequited crush into something more. That day was bad enough, but things are about to get worse.

Noah has become one of the best football players in the country, and he’s just landed on Molly’s front step. As a new addition to the Washington Wolves roster, Noah's presence is the key to Molly’s promotion in the front office.

The problem is, Noah wants nothing to do with Molly, and his surly attitude is making her job very difficult. But he's got another thing coming if he thinks Molly will be intimidated by one grumpy football player, no matter how much he hates being around her.

Once these two go head to head, their mutual dislike explodes into undeniable chemistry. But with what they have at stake, they just might detonate everything else along with it.

First 5 Chapters: We all love when a story lets you know what exact direction it's heading as soon as you read the first chapter. Molly has worked hard for her career and when a new boss steps in offering her a promotion of a lifetime, she accepts it not knowing she would be breaking the no-fraternizing clause.

Reasons to keep reading: Because this is the first book I’ve read where no one has major issues that make them toxic, or the woman has to fix the guy.

Get it Here: Focused

WRITING!

Honestly, I can’t say there is anything wrong with the book. No major typos that I noticed, the pacing flowed throughout the whole book.

The only flaw was that it was too short.

HOT or NOT?

Sinking into my sofa, thinking would be another book that I would stop after five chapters in. But it was the exact opposite. I devoured all 262 pages of this novel in four hours.

While the trope and plot was basic and over done. I will say this is the first time I’ve enjoyed a Pro Football Player Romance. Molly Ward runs into her High School crush years later when she lands a promotion to handle the new documentary that Amazon is doing on hotshot Noah.

Noah has been focused on football for years, determined he would not let any distractions interfere with his career, which is why he chose celibacy. Football is his number one priority until Molly comes along, knocking it out it’s number one placeholder.

It was refreshing to read a novel that didn’t contain a toxic man. There’s nothing that I love more than a guy noticing that he has to change and he’s willing too. And there’s nothing I love more when a woman realizes she can’t be the one to fix a man, even if she is in love with him.

Everything in this book was handled beautifully. If you’re looking for something to tide you over to til you find the next greatest book, or a read that will cure you from a book hangover. I highly recommend picking this one up.

As always, I do recommend forming your own opinion, so there is a direct link to the book up above. And I always welcome feedback on my own critique as I’m not always right.
